General Volunteer & Sub-Committee Volunteer Application Process

General Volunteers:

As one of the most active Sections in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), we cannot operate without the help of our awesome group of volunteers! We are always looking for reliable volunteers to help out on-site at our events and technical luncheons. You will be the face of the SPE at our events, and also gain a great opportunity to network with others in the industry.

If you are curious about SPE and looking for volunteer opportunities that don't require significant or ongoing time commitments, we encourage you to sign up as a General Volunteer!

Sub-Committee Volunteers:

Volunteer on a sub-committee to us to help support our initiatives and have a voice in our activities! We are looking for keen volunteers who are reliable and innovative, with fresh ideas to help plan and steer our activities. Time commitments, goals, and activities vary between each team, but expect to commit a minimum participation of once per month.
 

How to Apply for General/Sub-Committee Volunteer Positions:

1. If you are interested in being on a sub-committee, review the Sub-Committee Descriptions to get a sense of which sub-committee would be a good fit for you.
    

2. Fill out the application below. Online application form will be open until May 6, 2024.

Once you fill out your application below it will be automatically submitted to the Calgary Section Board and Committee Members. If you have any questions or concerns please email the Calgary Section.
