    Sahar Gargary

    Report Developer, Geologic and Accenture (Solvera)


    Sahar Gargary has 15 years of industry experience. She started her career as a Petrophysicist, and then pivoted into Business Intelligence. To prepare for this shift, she completed a Business Intelligence Data Analytics and Reporting Certificate from SAIT, and The Data Science Certified Program from RoboGarden.


    Experienced and dynamic Power BI Developer with over three years of proven expertise in advanced dashboard and reporting technology. Specializing in crafting visually compelling reports that drive informed decision-making, I excel in leveraging data visualization techniques to tell insightful stories. Proficient in SQL database management, I bring a wealth of experience in data analytics, ETL, and dimensional modeling to the table. Passionate about delivering impactful solutions.


    Since 2020, I have been a Report Developer for Geologic and Accenture (Solvera). My client was Nutrien. Collaborated with internal teams and clients to build dashboards that target senior managers as well as technical users. Back in 2020, my team was the winner of best visualization by Tableau: Datathon-2020 DUC competition SPE Calgary Section.



    Graham Hack, M. Eng., P. Eng.

    Director, Reservoir & Data Sciences, Carbon Alpha


    Graham has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Computer Process Control, and a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management, both from the University of Alberta. His industry background includes over a decade in North American upstream energy development, including facilities, production, reservoir, business development, and analytics for various sized operating companies. In his role at Carbon Alpha, Graham fosters technical excellence and demonstrates the value of reservoir engineering expertise as a component of the integrated development workflow. He drives insights and efficiency in data-intensive processes through the use of advanced analytics, and is passionate about building a Canadian solution to carbon storage: understanding, optimizing, and achieving meaningful CO₂ abatement through projects.
