    Ali Koochi, M.Sc., P.Eng.

    Drilling Engineering Team Lead, ARC Resources


    With over 20 years of experience in Drilling and Completions, Ali has a track record of success in reducing operational risks and costs for various operators internationally. He was involved in Wellsite Operations and Well Planning for a vast range of wells internationally and his focus is on optimization through standardization of best practices as well as implementation of new technologies. Ali is currently leading the Drilling Engineering team at ARC Resources. Before joining ARC/7G, he oversaw the Well Planning and Operations of all Explorations assets of Shell Canada in British Columbia. Ali holds a Master’s degree in Well Engineering from Australia, B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, standing as a Professional Engineer in Alberta, British Columbia & Australia and the author of several SPE Technical Papers. Since 2019 he has been an active committee member and representative of Canadian Associations of Petroleum Produces (CAPP) Well Construction Committee.
