Unlocking the Power of Networking and Career Reinvention
Mike, a petroleum engineer by training, spent 24 years working with four different oil and gas producers. In 2015, he faced a challenging job market after being laid off, forcing him to search for opportunities when few were available. Thankfully, the foundation he had been unconsciously building over the years not only helped him navigate this tough period but also led to a career pivot. Transitioning into business development, Mike discovered a role that aligned more closely with his skills and brought him greater career fulfillment.
For Mike, networking is a tool that’s often misunderstood. As an introvert, stepping into large social settings wasn’t easy, but through these experiences, he uncovered the true power of networking. Beyond building connections, it became a pathway to personal and professional growth.
Join Mike as he shares his inspiring journey and practical insights on how networking can help you unlock a better version of yourself.
