The Stars of Poker is returning! This is an opportunity for novice players to learn the game of poker in a tournament setting or for those more advanced players to prove their skills in the expert track. Sign up now for the ‘4th annual’ SPE Poker Event, to be held at the Elbow River Casino.
FORMAT The poker format will be No-Limit (NL) Texas Hold’em with professional casino staff dealers to maintain flow of tournament play and ensure play finishes in a timely manner. Re-buys will be allowed and will be dictated by the casino tournament director once a final entrant count is confirmed.
TRACKS The Novice ‘track’ offers a separate tournament with a chance to learn the game with the help of casino staff dealers in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
Experienced players will remain a competitive atmosphere, with bragging rights and financial gain for the tournament champion.
PRIZES There will be 2 prize pools – the novice pool and the experienced player pool. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each ‘track’. Last years winner walked away with over $3000!
