Student Chapters

The SPE Calgary Educational Support Team works with two student chapters - University of Calgary and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).  The U of C Chapter goes by the name PES (Petroleum and Energy Society) as they merged all the energy clubs in the engineering faculty into one in 2010. They cover the entire energy spectrum from petroleum and alternatives; the students and corporate sponsors benefit from this grouped efficiency. The SAIT Student Chapter is known as SPS (Student Petroleum Society) and they are the only petroleum club on campus.
