Leadership as Your Craft
Leadership as Your Craft challenges the myth that leadership is a title, personality trait, or moment of promotion. Instead, this talk reframes leadership as a craft—something practiced, refined, and earned over time.
Drawing from real-world executive experience and timeless leadership principles, Brent Janke explores why the most effective leaders treat leadership as a discipline rather than a position. Young professionals will learn how intentional skill-building, personal ownership, and a commitment to excellence create trust, clarity, and momentum—long before formal authority arrives.
This talk offers practical insight into how making people the center of leadership elevates performance, strengthens culture, and accelerates growth. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how to begin practicing leadership now—through daily decisions, habits, and standards—so that when opportunity comes, they are already prepared to lead.
